The album by United Experiments of America (U.X.A.) reeks of self-indulgence. The lyrics are inane, and the dirgelike music doesn’t have enough clout to keep from blurring into a jumbled mess. This SoCal quartet pales compared with the overwhelming power of the hardcore bands all around them, although one track, “No Time,” shows some promise with music that cooks behind De De Troit’s angry vocals.
