Does anyone know if this is "classic" or "new" material?

Opening act for this show includes Theatre of Hate and Jay Aston - I'm presuming that's "Jay Aston's Gene Loves Jezebel" and not Jay Aston from Bucks Fizz?

I'm sure Marc is playing the old stuff. All the 2019 clips I see on YouTube are of the oldies.

Jay Aston's Gene Loves Jezebel right now is touring with The Alarm and Modern English. Then they get a month off and back out there with Chamelons Vox.

Coming to Seattle in October. This looks like one I need to see.

Bought my ticket! I'll report back in a little over 2 months.

Anyway, found an entire show on YouTube from a few months ago. Sounds amazing! I simply can't wait to here these songs live...something I thought would never happen in my life.

Yeah mate, Kathleen (reigning TP fan club prez) wants to see Jay Aston. You can't miss her, she'll be the only person there wearing fuchsia. As for me, I reckon I'll dig out the old Sun and the Moon jumper. Just add a Post Punk Monk, instant shits and giggles.

The Seattle date just got re-scheduled to a Friday night. Darn the luck.

Seven months later and I can report this was an excellent show! The band was tight and they played the old favorites without too many surprises, save "Paradiso." My only complaint was that it was a very short set. But Mark sounded great and was super cool hanging out by the merch table before and during Ashton's set. I chatted with him a bit and he signed a poster for me that is now framed and hanging on the wall in my office.

Theatre of Hate was quite entertaining. I didn't know any of their music, but I enjoyed their set very much. Later when I left to walk to my car, I saw their sax player wandering around alone a few blocks from the club.
