Re: My Pornograph

There are just enough music and film nerds on this board that someone must know what old movie it is that is sampled on Burning Airlines' "My Pornograph" on their first album. Sounds like some old 50s cop movie, but I can't place it. And a Google search for "pornograph" doesn't return any, um, useful results. Or at least not useful for this purpose....

Nice work, Pagan! I'd tried variations of similar searches and didn't find it. As you likely know from having done the search yourself, turns out it's from Orson Welles' "The Trial". Our hero, Josef K, is being interrogated by the cops. Now I can rest well. Probably oughta watch the movie sometime too.

I had coincidentally come across the CD recently in a derelict stack (with no recollection of what they sounded like other than Teen Beat-y or Dischord-y) so was able to queue up. I vaguely recognized the dialogue/scene but had to google. Some time back I did the Kafka thing (much after viewing all the Welles films).
