Good to hear that he's apparently come through it. I actually met and talked to him once and he was a very nice guy - we talked about music (Graham Parker fan!).

I was a huge springfield fan as a kid. The Hard To Hold soundtrack was my favorite cassette for a formative year in my youth. Not so sure I am eager to give his late-career blues turn a listen however. Even if it springs from a genuine place.

I admit to turning up the radio whenever "Jessie's Girl" comes on. A favorite from those days.

There was a short Saturday Night Live bit with Barry Bostwick performing "Jessie's Girl," which served only to cement my appreication for the song.
