Anyone have the 'No Sleep Until Wednesday' mix of Eloise?

The version on the Castle VSOP CD - "The MCA Singles A's + B's" - is that the "Wednesday" mix or just an extended 12" mix?

It is certainly different to any other mix I have heard, including the one on the 12" UK single. It is 7' 45" long and ends with a brief piano singalong that has no relation to the song and ends in 'whoooo!'.

Maybe it is...i thought the MCA singles extended was the same one but now I'm not sure - the UK "No Sleep" vinyl is marked 'GRIMX4'...is that the unique one u r talking bout?

I don't have the vinyl 12" GRIMX 4 - I have the picture sleeve GRIM 4, which is an extended version but is not the version on the MC/VSOP CD.

I understand that the "No Sleep" remix was in a different sleeve and was restricted to 2000 copies - I have never seen one.

I was suggesting that the CD compilation of the MCA years has the rarest version of 'Eloise', since all the other songs on it are the remixes/rare versions (eg "'Curtain Call" live, "Is It a Dream" (Wild West Express Mix), "Shadow of Love" (Pressure Mix)).

Annoyingly, the CD does not state which mix is used, although at 7"45' it is longer than any other.

I would put money on it being the same as the 'No Sleep' remix , also known as the 'Extravagant Mix'.

The MCA years were characterised by a lot of annoying remixes anyway - eg "Anything": 'Another Mix' (GRIMT 5), then 'Yet Another Mix'/Instrumental/'And Yet Another Mix' (GRIMX 5).

It was the 80's.

Thanx for the info! I'll have a listen to the vinyl 12" to see what i can tell. You mention the Eild west Express mix - I have a 7" noted as the Wild west End mix - possibly rare, don't know - but, superior to the LP track w/ a superior extended solo)

From what I can tell, the GRIM4 extended version you have is now the rarest version. What I found was, the US 12" is the same as the single version and the CD is the No Sleep mix making the regular 12" extended version a UK 12" vinyl b-side, unreleased on CD...unless somebody knows more?
