  • Quincy (Columbia) 1980

Abetted in their escape from the Bowery circuit by CBGB owner Hilly Crystal, signed to a major label and produced by the talented Tim Friese-Greene, Quincy tried to make pleasant but predictable fare like “Critics’ Choice” and “Roamin’ Catholic” work in a crisp, slightly Carsish, neo-pop setting, but were too faceless to merit any daylight notice.
