Laughing Dogs

  • Laughing Dogs
  • The Laughing Dogs (Columbia) 1979
  • Meet Their Makers (Columbia) 1980

Four of the Bowery bands who appeared on the sad but significant Live at CBGB compilation in 1976 later reached the major (label) leagues, but only the Laughing Dogs changed their surnames in the process. Their two albums, despite amusing cover art, are in no way connected creatively to the great bands with whom they shared club stages: the Laughing Dogs play faceless MOR rock with bar band moves and tepid skills.
