Ex-Flamin Groovies drummer Danny Mihm’s band, which is otherwise composed of Europeans, plays in a universal language: smoking, uncomplicated barrelhouse rock’n’roll. The original songs aren’t exactly precedent-setters, but the hard-rocking piano-and-guitar energy here tells you everything you might need to know — and then some. If there had been more raving bands like this back in 1976, punk might never have happened. (Confusion caveat: this is not the US electric blues band by the same name that has released albums on the Blue Wave label.)
