Despite the ominous cover photograph, this outfit has an almost chipper anthemic pop sound with heavy-on-the-tom-tom drumming, interestingly ragged guitar, reedy organ and shouted, echoed melodic vocals. A strange stylistic mix, to be sure, but a workable one — kind of a weird detour from mid-period Adam and the Ants.
