These Parisian progressives — with their radio-noise electronics, delay-echo effects (used, among others, to process the minimal vocals) and contrapuntal, contrarhythmic bass lines — make just the sort of avant-garde music that is most difficult to judge. Is it flim-flammery or are they making an unfamothable artistic statement? In the end, what’s most important is that of it is outrageous enough to make it matter one way or the other.
