David Haldeman is the host of "Dead Electric," the program on KSER that follows mine on Friday nights. A couple months ago, David presented a special installment that he called "Mellotronarama." It's a two-hour special devoted to the Mellotron -- its history, its sound and its influence. Lots of vintage prog and "switched-on" classical music such as Tomita. I really enjoyed it.
Last night, whether by accident or by intent, KSER aired a rerun of "Mellotronarama." It's on the
replayer page for the next two weeks, if you'd like to check it out. Select Friday 11 September, then click the 10PM link. (David's program runs till 12:30AM, so you'll need to select the Saturday page to hear the last half-hour.)
