The Ventures are very dear to me. Their music is the first rock & roll I remember hearing. My dad really got into their sound right after we moved to Hawaii. Their records occupied our living room hi-fi set frequently when I was a kid.
I got to see the classic lineup (Nokie Edwards, Don Wilson, Bob Bogle and Mel Taylor) right after I turned 18, at a club in Colorado. It was the first concert I went to with my dad. An unforgettable, exciting evening.
> I though The Ventures were in fact, immortal!
I'm sorry to say, no, being that Don Wilson is the last Venture standing from that lineup.
