I gotta agree about the Only Ones. Not only are their first two albums timeless, their Peel sessions is maybe the best of all the Peel sessions released. It's currently available as disc 1 of a 2 disc package called "Darkness & Light - The Complete BBC Sessions" and that album is in my personal top 20 of all time.

some of the younger kids have started to appreciate the Neurotics in recent years... a band called Smalltown did a cover of "When The Oil Runs Out."

... just listened to "This World Of Water" earlier tonight... total summer song for me. In 1980, I had a summer job working in a convenience store and one of the college stations (WERS in Boston--I was working on the North Shore if anyone knows the area) had a cool show called "Niteklub" that played the punk/new wave etc... of the day... used to hear that song every night... and "Academy Fight Song" by Mission of Burma and "African Reggae" by Lene Lovich and a bunch of other cool stuff..

okay, back to the topic at hand

Speaking of which, has anyone ever seen 'Kickstarting a Backfiring Nation' on CD?
