Just wanted to quickly encourage folks to check out Head of Roses, the new record from Jenn Wassner, recording under her stage name Flock of Dimes, which is excellent, nuanced pop with synth leanings. While she is better known for her work with Wye Oak, I rather prefer Flock of Dimes, and saw her after the 2016 record If You See Me, Say Yes. I'd say this new one is a bit more subdued in tone, but it's gorgeously written and sung and worth the exploration. I got the record on LP and it's also a very attractive packaging and presentation.
In a similar vein but with different lyrical content, the one from the Weather Station released at the start of this year is also highly recommended.
