Bruce Gedulgig of Tuxedomoon.

That's too bad. I discovered them from the "A Thousand Lives by Picture" comp album that Ralph put out in the `80s. They had already relocated to Belgium by then so I have never had a chance to see them.

I discovered Tuxedomoon through the "Buy or Die!" ads in Creem and Circus for the Ralph Records sampler. Believe it or not, it was my drummer friend who said, back then, that one of us should pick that up. After all, what's $1 to hear a record full of new artists?

A couple weeks later, I had the Buy or Die! 7" in my hands. I recall that we both liked MX-80 best out of all the bands presented. But I did like Tuxedomoon enough to pick up Half-Mute and the Desire score.
