New Occupants

Not only does this Minnesota duo make music with machines (synthesizers), they even sing about ’em on the eponymous four-song 12-inch. A strong dance beat and plenty of weird noises add the proper ambience to such tongue-in-chic romps as “It’s Time to Become Robots” and “Mechanical Rights,” a cute look at cybernetic dating rituals. Slick and enjoyable.
