This cute pop-rock sampler offers up tastes of power pop, Merseybeat (which they’ve got down pat), Joe Jackson, Cars-cum-B-52’s, etc. If the Houston trio doesn’t live up to its punny moniker, that doesn’t seem to have been the intention. These fellows are just playing around with their favorite styles, and the performances are quite good. If only they had a spark of originality …
