John (Black Randy) Morris writes and sings the lyrics of these wild and funny pieces of sharp social commentary; the five-man Metrosquad provides twisted, dissonant rock and funk to set them in the proper chaotic ambiance. Like a punkified Mothers of Invention, there’s a definite method behind this inspired madness, but you’ll be laughing (or squirming during the vulgar numbers) too hard to notice. Sample lyrics: “Marlon [Brando] took his Learjet to the Indian nation / They thought he was Led Zeppelin on a rock vacation.” Or, from “I Slept in an Arcade”: “There was a dog in 24B / Working undercover for the LAPD / I took his paw and he winked at me / He said ‘I’m man’s best friend and I’m off at 3’.” More titles: “I Wanna Be a Nark,” “Sperm Bank Baby,” “Idi Amin.” Dirty, rude, politically uncool — but funny!
