Big Balls and the Great White Idiot

  • Big Balls and the Great White Idiot
  • Foolish Guys (Ger. Strand) 1978

With some guidance by ex-Grapefruit George Alexander (né Alec Young, as in the Australian family that gave us the Easybeats and AC/DC), the three Grund brothers play high-spirited punk in the style of the day (Pistols, Ramones, et al.). It’s charming by dint of amusingly awkward attempts to translate their idea of punky aggro into English (“Hell So Neat,” “Hang Yourself From an Apple Tree”) and general goofiness.
