blondie used to do "heart of glass" in their very early days calling it "the disco song", it used to be a reggae beat song. I remember seeing them play it and thought "someday this will be their biggest hit, take them right out of the punk scene and into the mainstram"by madisdadi

"I know what I like ( in your wardrobe)" on the album lyrics it says" based on the cover painting" which shows a man asleep on a bench in front of some shrubery dressed like a garderner.........Most of my cognitive cells were fried out with "The Lamb Lies Down............... I toured once ( in my crap local band) with the Del Lords featuring Top Ten. He told great stories bout the glory days with the 'Tators. They had wanted to call the band either Beat the Meatles or Cancer of the Dick at one time. Joey Ramone used to come to their practice space before he was a Ramone wearing glitter clothes and paying big time attention when they did "California Sun"by madisdadi
I worked for a sound company in Chicago that help build the smashin' pumps studio/rehearsal space and the area had to be designed to include indoor parking for the new mercedes and jags the group members bought because they were worried about leaving them on the street and no one wanted them to be sad and pensive. "Third Reich and Roll" is my favorite. Their version of "Satisfaction" make Devo look like wedding singers. "Duck Stab" is next. More of a cross between Pere Ubu, Kraftwerk and a 3 year old with a Fishcer Price keyboard (my 3 year old loves the Residents)with High Pitch Eric singing lead. wow the BB show I saw (Disney in October) was the worst thing I have ever witnessed. Love actually was mincing around on stage like the cheesiest show band this side of Gaitlinburg, at one point he even wore a feather boa with a big pimp hat. It might have been because they were at Disney, but it was a sad BB replica. I didn't expect anything, and they let me way down. Well Love has his mby madisdadi
Doesn't sound like the "Smile" show I saw in October 04,(he did play the piano and sang some solo stuff) but I did see the "faux" Beach Boys( wait, Love "liscensed the name") with 2 guys who have no fucking right to that name prance onstage (actually on the verge of mincing) and the bald one tried to honk a sax and make wave motions with his hands while crooningby madisdadi
