I saw them on SNL last night... sounds like a jumble of old ideas... Edge guitar, a bit of the Sound/Echo, etc... pretentious delivery... ehh...

The 2 best records I heard this year were The Libertines and Ike Reilly Assassination "Sparkle in the Finish" - (Ira, no Ike Reilly entry yet?)Biggest fraud? Franz Ferdinand. 2 great tunes on that album and an annoying cutesy attitude. That's it.I know there's not much love for the Strokes on this board (fools!), but at least the Strokes write fully formed songs. Troubling, to say the very least........
