No reason to post that here, except that I posted an RIP when Mike Douglas died, so it only seems fair.
Don't know if Merv had as many cool musical guests on his talk show as Douglas did. But I think seeing Susan Anton as a guest on his show when I was 12 or 13 caused me to instantly grow a beard and my voice to deepen and want to start smoking Muriel cigars.
