Had never heard Linda from Work but liked the band’s name enough to jump down the rabbit hole. Rockin’ unit they are.

Hasn’t everyone known a Linda from work?

Glad you dig the band, Bip. My favorite current Seattle band. I saw them open for Everclear, and grabbed their music at the swag booth (and gave them my card from KSER).

Probably. Just so it's stated, though, nobody in the band has the name Linda.

Maybe they should do a bill with The Linda Lindas! I'd jump at that.

BTW, I included The Toasters and Mustard Plug back to back because I saw both bands together Thursday night at El Corazón.

It had been a while since I'd seen a ska show, and I guess I'd forgotten that tendency for ska audiences to move in a circle on the floor — forming a "skanking swirl" more than a mosh pit.

Question for our antipodean brethren here: when a ska band plays for an audience south of the equator, does the swirl of bodies on the floor move clockwise? (They move counter-clockwise in North America.)

I love Jesus Jones and glad to hear something that ISN'T "Right Here, Right Now."

Also, FYI: FCC slip in the first set (at least on the Spinitron.)

Yeah, Jesus Jones has been a favorite of ours since Doubt was released. We saw them in Denver, on the Perverse Tour, with the Stereo M.C.'s opening. Talk about a kickass show.
