Keep posting the playlists!

Aug. 26th seems awfully early for the fall semester to start.

School starts crazy early now. We actually had to cancel a family vacation because school begins so early in August. They spreeeeaaad out the school year with so many days off, and an unnecessarily lengthy 3-week Christmas break.

But anyway. Go, Li’l Heff! Yay college radio!

Always loved that Not Drowning, Waving song. I was never a huge fan but that song was brilliantly crafted.

I've been accused of heresy by some for suggesting Wolf Alice's cover of "Song To the Siren" is worthy of the original (Buckley) and TMC's version with the inimitable Liz Fraser. Both of those versions are masterpieces in their own right, but WA really captured the essence of the song like few others have.

I've been accused of heresy plenty of times. No one's tied me to a stake and brought out the lit torches and kindling yet.

Just a hazard of being surrounded by rabid Cocteau Twins fans. Elizabeth Fraser is a sacred idol in the community; when someone had the impertinence to compare Enya to her, there was nearly a mass riot on the CT forums, it's still a sore spot even today. It's understandable since Liz was endowed with the title of "Voice of God" by fans and certain enthused critics (one of them going so far as to describe her voice and CT's music as "space alien orgasms." I'm a big fan of the band, I get the squall surrounding it all, but it can be rather tedious after a certain point.
