A shame he wasn’t inducted into the Hall of Fame sooner - not only did the late induction deny him a chance to speak but it could have been wonderful to see Clapton, the late Peter Green and Mick Taylor all paying some kind of tribute in performance, maybe exchanging phrases or solos with Mayall accompanying them.
