What, no Joe Strummer, or Ramones?

And that $400 VIP ticket – how punk is THAT?!

“Many artists will be performing at the same time and some areas may have limited capacities. You should plan accordingly and arrive early if there’s a particular performer you really want to see.” Well, THAT doesn’t bode well..

I saw most of these acts for six dollars in ye olden times (well, probably had to pay a few bucks more when I saw Iggy in ‘89) so I should probably be happy with those memories. But I dunno, that’s such a mind-boggling lineup. And this might be the last go round for The Damned.

And why are The Misfits headlining over everyone? They weren’t that big a deal in the ‘80s. It’s all those t-shirts I betcha.

Wow! That's quite a lineup. Reminds me of the Warped Tour.

My buddies and I used to get tickets to Warped every year. It was held at the Adams County Fairgrounds, northeast of Denver. It was impossible to see every band at that show, too, but we did our best.

That yearly trip ended for us when they moved the tour stop to the parking lot at Mile High Stadium. Let me re-state that: the all-day show was being held in the parking lot. I guess the organizers in Adams County got tired of all the punks stomping down the grass every year, and the tour promoters decided that the ticket-buyers should be willing to stand on the asphalt for an entire summer day. No thanks.

Hmm…wonder what the name to the right of The Damned is? Can anyone read it? I’ll guess: Sex Pistols.

...and if they're not there, they'll most likely be at the Rebellion Festival.

I went to this for 2 days last year and had a great time. Besides the number of artists that will never get the DC area, the next best thing is the giant building that hosts the festival. Everything is indoors and easy to get to. Plus since the building was built in the late 19th century for the performing arts, all of the rooms that the artists perform, the sound is great. Much better than outdoors. I had such a good time last year that I'm 75% sure that I'm going to go for all four days this year.
