Bassist for The Saints, The Damned and Tank.
Played on some pretty great albums: Eternally Yours, Prehistoric Sounds (pretty much the two best Saints platters) and The Damned's Machine Gun Etiquette.

Bummer! I knew he was in The Damned, but didn't know about The Saints.

Bad week for bass players...

Not a bad resume! Though somehow I've missed Tank, even in my metalhead days. But being a part of three seminal albums even before leading his own long-running band is quite the feat.

Has anyone here heard Tank? Are they worth a listen?

Before you asked, no. But according to Wikipedia, their debut is a seminal NWOBHM album, so listened a bit on Spotify. Sounds like Motorhead (which Wikipedia also mentioned). And Algy Ward sings. Anyway, not bad if you like that sort of thing.

Another feather in his cap is he played on The Saints' single This Perfect Day which is a pretty blistering tune. Jon Savage called it "the most ferocious single to ever grace the UK Top 40." As for Tank, their single Turn Your Head Around had a bit of Motorhead-lite about it. When Toe-to-Toe covered it, the result production-wise is pretty brutal.
