Blondie Graphic Novel

Blondie Graphic Novel

Looks like there's a Blondie graphic novel coming out which sounds like it's part biography, part interpretations of some of their songs. This news would mostly be meh to me, but it's by Jimmy Palmiotti and Amanda Conner, who've been pretty reliable at churning out pretty good comics over the last 20 years or so. Or at least Conner has - Palmiotti may just benefit from being married to an artist who makes any comic she draws entertaining.

Anyhow, it ranges in price from $25 for a bare-bones paperback to $500 for a super deluxe.slip covered hardback version containing multiple prints and a few hunks of vinyl.

I saw that many moons ago. Sort of different but not my cup of tea. It reminds me of those cheesy 90s comic bios of rock bands.

Even if it's "better." Possibly by miles, it's still a comic book and I burned out on that form decades ago.

Not interested in a Blondie comic? How about one concerning Peter Laughner and the birth of the Ohio scene. Looks to be heavy as a door
stop at over 400 pages:

That artist seems to be merging the styles of Rick Geary and P. Craig Russell - something that never occurred to me as needing to be done, but it makes for a nice combination.
