Okay, gents, I could use your suggestions.

Starting next Saturday, I'll be adding a new shift on KSER.

It won't be that big a deal -- just a Saturday afternoon shift, once every three months. Bryan Ollie gave up his weekly show, "The Soul & Funk Express," when the pandemic began. Since then, that time slot has been divided up among four DJs, each of whom brings his/her own twist to the soul/funk/R&B format. That leaves the fifth Saturday, every three months, to be taken by one of the four ... so a couple of them contacted me, to ask if I'd consider taking it.

What I need is a title for my new little show. Each of those four DJs uses a different title for their own two-hour program.

It depends what types of music you're gonna play in that niche. These song titles would make good names and fit wide variety of styles:
George Benson - Breezin'
Cameo - Feel Me
Shakatak - Streetwalkin'
Lonnie Listen Smith - A Garden of Peace
Nina Simone - Fine and Mellow
The Jets - Private Number

Though I’m hardly jingoistic, I love the phrase “e pluribus unum”. (sadly it seems the country is trying like heck to erase that motto, but I digress….)

Regardless, “out of many, one” is a nice encapsulation of your show, Delvin. You’re nothing if not diversified and eclectic, and I love it.

(Maybe there’s a cooler way to express the notion for a radio slot….?)

Ugh, just realized I may have missed the point of the exercise if you’re going to maintain the musical style.

As a nod to Eddie Murphy and ‘coming to America’ maybe I’d go with “Sexual Chocolate”.

Souled Out.

One Nation Under a Groove.

On the Good Foot.

I’ve always sucked at titles, by the way.

Oh, I’m definitely awful at it, but love trying:

“Jamming on the one”

"On the Good Foot" has a nice ring to it! Thanks Michael!

(Whew ... for a minute there, I thought I might be doomed to host a show called "Sexual Chocolate.")

Hey, after the posts I spent vamping on Hoip Chiggs' name, I deserve no less!

The referent here is a Jazz record, but I always thought a good name for a show would be "Cosmic Tones for Mental Therapy."

Actually, D.R., if I ever come up with an offshoot show that focuses on prog, I might just use that! (Not likely, because my depth of knowledge of prog would be insufficient to support such a show.)

Again, thank you all for the great suggestions. I had a last-minute inspiration: "A Fifth of Soul." I thought it tied in neatly with the fact that it's only on the fifth Saturday of the month (when such a Saturday occurs) as well as tying into the Seventies hit single "A Fifth of Beethoven."

Today's inaugural program went very well! Of course, it's familiar territory, since I used to guest-host "The Soul & Funk Express" pretty frequently.
