Yes, real sad news. They had just released an (excellent) single and it seems a new record was to follow shortly.

That is WAY too bloody young.

I interviewed Steve Wynn yesterday for SXSW preview coverage, and he mentioned it during the conversation, which was the first I’d heard it. He’d just found out a couple of hours before. It’s affected a lot of people in those musical circles.

Damn…when you’ve made albums backing both John Doe and Andre Williams, you must be doing something right.

I also have the DVD of “Tales of the Rat Fink” (any other kustom kulture fans out there?) for which they did the soundtrack.
