Re: Couple of Luddite questions about this board..

First, let me apologize for being so damn clueless on such matters.

(1) can we delete a post we’ve made? All I can figure out how to do is edit it. But I can’t remove my entire post... I have to leave behind something.
On the rrhof thread I had to enter something, so I typed a period. (I’d accidentally posted the comment for a different thread there).

(2) what is the correct way to put an image on a post? I’ve tried using the picture icon, which prompts you for a ‘http:// URL’..... and I know how to copy/paste....but when I preview it, the picture doesn’t show.... just the “http etc etc” gobbledygook.
What the heck am I doing wrong??

1) Unfortunately the Phorum software only allows admins to delete posts, but editing a message to blank them (or writing something like 'please delete') is fine.
2) Since we don't have uploading on the forum, any images have to be hosted elsewhere online, either found on the internet or uploaded to a free image host. To include your own image in a TP post, I recommend uploading to www.imgur.com, then grabbing the URL from imgur (which should end in .jpg/.png/etc) and pasting it when clicking the img button on TP.
