Well 801, if your show is any indication, 2021 will be a great year for music. That said, I guess most of the tracks you played were from that awful year we just ended.

Outstanding beginning with the two tracks from Rosehip Teahouse and Through Sand (which I promptly add to my list of bands to check out), although the show was great from start to finish. I also liked Hey, Chels in spite of the terrible name, and Comatose among the bands I was totally unfamiliar with. Hoodoo Gurus sound like they haven't missed a beat since the late 1980s and I was really surprised at the Elvis Costello song that ended the show, as he sounded like the E.C. I used to like and which had similarly disappeared into the ether since 1990 or thereabout.

Can't wait to receive the new Besnard Lakes double album. I'm checking my mailbox everyday (although I guessed it probably hasn't shipped as the official release date is still a couple of weeks away).

Very nearly the entirety of this week’s show featured the last promotional dregs of 2020, leaving behind only six or seven unused songs that still need to be heard. Next week begins the rollout of 2021 in earnest and it’s already sounding pretty darn good.

If those three singles from The Besnard Lakes are anything to go by, their new album is gonna be well worth the wait...
