Thank you for playing "I Want an Alien for Christmas" – Fountains of Wayne

That and "Hackensack" have been among the songs on repeat for me last couple weeks

RIP Adam Schlesinger

"Christmas Wrapping" is awesome, and annoying, and ridiculously catchy all at once.

Good playlist and good comments!

-I agree, Adam Schlesinger was one of the toughest losses to COVID. Too young . Major songwriting talent.

-zoo is so right about ‘Christmas wrapping’. I think (too me, anyway) it comes from a similar alley to where ‘wordy rapping hood’ came from and it ultimately wins me over every time.

-I want to thank you for playing Elastica... one of the brighter spots of the 90s for me.
( the 90s are an odd decade. Sometimes, the harder I search, the better the decade was musically. Other times, the yuckier it was).

-didn’t recognize the Sade song. Then I put on my dollar-store reading glasses. Remember the Motels song “take the L out of Lover”? Take the L out of Slade and it’s Sade.

Thank you for Cheap Trick, Poly Styrene, Slade, The Kinks and Nick Lowe - it was like having old friends over for the holidays.

And Bowie’s Holy Holy made for a delightfully unexpected stocking stuffer... cool smiley

Ace show all around!

I'm glad to know my seasonal show went over so well, with so many of you.

> Bowie’s Holy Holy made for a delightfully unexpected stocking stuffer...

That's the only song I know from Bowie that could be taken even as remotely seasonal ... apart from his duet with Bing Crosby. (I enjoy that one, but I tried adding it to "Twenty Flight Rock" one year, and found it didn't fit well at all.)

For me too, Bip. Their self-titled album is truly all killer, no filler. And their live show at the Mercury Café in Denver was top-drawer too.
