The season premiere of Austin City Limits feeds this Saturday at 7 pm, featuring Ray Davies. Check with your local PBS station to see when it plays in your area.

Jerry Lee Lewis on Conan should be good. What I've heard of his new disc kicks ass.

There's a pretty nice vintage BBC concert of the Faces turning up sporadically on VH1 Classic this month.

Ian McLagan has shown this a few times here in Austin at a local theater chain, whenever he does his Small Faces/Faces retrospective. It's definitely worth watching, especially the Ronnie Lane/Rod Stewart duet on McCartney's "Maybe I'm Amazed."

Rod's fashion sense leaves something to be desired, though. Ah, the 70s...

It was interesting to watch Marilyn Manson and then flip the channel to Alice Cooper to watch the master source school the child. Though once again Morningwood kept rock alive.

I always thought wierd Al should cover Pearl Jams 'cant find a better man' by frantically rummaging through supermarkets at thanksgiving time, singing 'cant find a butterball'

Plus 44 on Letterman.
Fresh signage.

Like it or not, the twenty-somethings in America dictate our pop culture. The period we just experienced where suburban white kids thought they were OG was a low-point with a lot of negative connotations both artistically and otherwise. Few 15-early 20s care about what happened in the 90s; it's a now culture. Therefore, moving forward, do bands like Plus 44 indicate a light at the end of the tunnel? Anomaly or trend?
