Speaking of The The, I thought that song he released a few years ago after his brother's death ("We Can't Stop What's Coming") was really good and would be the beginning of some new music. Looks like it's been unfolding slowly. This hospital ordeal is certainly a setback, but the main thing is that this point is that he's still alive!

¡Mamacita! That is high weirdness for Matt Johnson but I'm grateful he's come through it! I think he's got the moxie to adapt to what fate has in store for him following such an ordeal.

I'm glad he's getting better. Too many musicians have been lost since the pandemic started (though I guess this isn't related).

I'm in the middle of reading Everything But the Girl guitarist Ben Watt's book Patient, which is extremely harrowing. Not directly related, but this reminds of it.
