Anyone hear come across this band from Portland? On Kill Rock Stars, sometimes vaguely defined as "indie folk," but it's really more like a gently rustic balladry rooted in Appalachia and twinkling fiddling and acoustic guitars. I think the KRS label and "indie folk" would depict something much more loose and ragged, but I got their 2010 record THISTLED SPRING as part of a Kill Rock Stars promotion of undersold LPs, and it's really grown on me. Much less ornate than Fleet Foxes, whom I suppose one might compare them to (Pacific Northwest, indie bands exploring acoustic old-time sounds), and I like them a lot more.
