Did Yow keep it in his pants? A FB post I saw today makes it clear that he has not moved past that particular element of his showmanship. I'm seeing them on Saturday and was kinda hoping that wasn't a part of his repertoire any longer....

The Lizard played the same venue in which we tape the show, but we didn't record it. Sorry. That would have been badass, though.

Saw them a couple weeks ago here in Boston. It was the best rock and roll show I have seen in years. The band was still as tight as a ducks ass. Yow immediately launched himself into the pit. I spent a least a third of the night supporting him over our head while he howled and made hideous (but wonderful) indecipherable sounds. I fuckin' love those first 3 Lizard albums. That's as good as rock gets IMHO.

OK - that makes a little more sense. Just couldn't quite picture that show airing on Saturday primetime....

And yes, nosepail, they don't seem to have lost much of a step, at least as of the last time I saw them 3-4 years ago. I saw them probably 10 times in the early to mid 90s and it was always one of the best shows. Excited to see them here on Saturday, even if I'm not that excited to see Yow's johnson.

I saw them in DC two weeks ago. I also was curious if the 'tight and shiny' thing was going to happen. Nope. But he definitely rocked like someone that is closer to 28 than 58. Though, I noticed he usually hurled himself into the crowd near the end of a song so he wasn't there for long. Still impressive. Fifteen songs and three encores - very impressive. I don't know if this is part of his shtick but he introduced most songs with "I think you're really going to like this song" except for the third encore when it was "I don't think you're going to like these songs!"
