Since it was my drummer friend's birthday, I dedicated last Friday's show to him. The first hour was a selection of songs from the mix tapes he's sent me in the past year -- in effect, letting him pick the songs. For the second hour, I included other rock & roll birthdays, a few songs from concerts we'd seen together, and wrapped it up with a set of selections featuring his all-time favorite drummer.
