Lost in the supermarket

The way these grocers rearrange produce and stock on the shelves and constantly move things around and place items under the wrong sign burns me up. I can no longer shop happily.

I recently noticed that one local chain had what looked like telemetry devices installed on one of the wheels to track your movement through the store! Red plastic boxes [bulky] on just one of the casters! I thought they could just use an unobtrusive RFID chip in that instance. Grocery stores are no longer benign!

I reall did hear "Lost in the Supermarket" while grocery shopping once.

Always blew my mind how Lost In The Supermarket and The Jam's Dream Time which features "super market" so majorly in the chorus basically must have had these songs written roughly at the same time....... I picture Weller and Strummer bumping into each other in the frozen food aisle and scowling/smiling politely.........

Too bad it wasn't followed by the Raincoats' "Fairytale in the Supermarket."

Hmmm, wonder if there's a thread here for my show ...
