That was pretty fun. I always thought the thing on Two and A Half Men was a clever conceit, these cool fringe artists get together and just play cards and Charlie Sheen's character, a jingle writer, fits right in.

He was also great at acting the part of Elvis Costello, it should be said of course, and that's not to be taken lightly (SNL Radio Radio performance, several ankle bending videos and some hilarious facial expressions in the diner version of "45" though that one seems to be replaced with the other video for some reason)

Film Stars Don’t Die In Liverpool—the movie that I have a song, “You Shouldn’t Look At Me That Way,” in at the moment—because Peter Turner, who wrote a memoir about his relationship with Gloria Grahame, was working for Alan in 1982 when that occurred. So there’s a connection between those two films. I don’t know if you knew that.

Wait a sec...so it's possible Elvis Costello could be eligible for an Oscar nomination?

Chris Cornell is also eligible for his song from "The Promise" (the Armenian genocide drama from earlier in the year), which did get a Grammy nomination.

So, it's possible that both Elvis Costello and Chris Cornell could get Oscar nominations.

Have you forgotten the Costello's role in Frasier? That guy buskin at Nervosas cafe that got a career on accounting?
