Never heard of the man until I saw this obit in my news feed this morning.

However, when I think about all of the albums in my collection by New Zealand bands ... it's difficult to not feel a palpable sense of loss.

I bought records there when I lived in Dunedin in 1994 ... I was a University of Otago overseas student from June (midwinter) until November of that year. RIP.

That' sad news. Had no idea. I was just listening to David Kilgour's Sugar Mouth yesterday and thinking I'd forgotten how good it was.
