In today's weather

i'm completely stoked to report that the state of Florida received nearly sixteen inches of rain over the last seven days. I'm fifty six years old, that much rainfall in my lifetime over the same seven days is unprecedented.

Imagine turning on the water fountain for twenty million people.

Hang in there, Steve! Consider delaying the repair of anything electrical while you're getting such storms, just to be safe.

Oh, the Florida rain has been glorious. Between the wildfires and general dryness, we've really needed it.

That said, I'm over it. Bring on the sunshine, at least for the weekend!

That's a bit of how we felt, in moving to Seattle. Much as we love Colorado, after ten years of drought and wildfires, we were ready for a change. (The degeneration of local politics factored into it, too.)

I don't think God had anything to do with all that rain at all.

As i remember now, i was playing the shit out of Jim Boggia's 'Safe in Sound' CD. ya know, the one with a six minute thunderstom at the end. That's what's done it.
Twenty two inches over four days.

Previous to that, the JEAN PAUL SARTRE EXPERIENCE carried the high water stick mark with their, 'I Like Rain'. Eighteen inches over three days (Apr 1994)
