The other day at Starbucks ...

Just as I was walking to enter the store, a large group of middle-school kids got to the door ahead of me. Six girls and two boys. One of the girls was wearing a hijab.

As they approached the door, they all started singing in unison, their voices rising up the scale: "Ahhh ... ahhh ... ahhh ..." It wasn't until I reached the door that I realized they were singing along to the piped-in music inside the coffee shop.

By the time I actually walked in, those kids had decided this was the ideal spot for a dance party. They all were grooving, and singing along: "Let's DANCE! ... Put on your red shoes and dance the blues ..." It made me so happy, I didn't care that none of them was stepping up to order. And I didn't bother to step around and cut in front of them. Let the kids dance.

I hated it at the time, but even "Let's Dance" apparently has redemptive qualities!

I tell ya, Starbucks IS a TPer's best friend!

After reading that "Delvin Experience" above, it occurred to me that everything Edgar Wright warned me about in his SHAUN THE DEAD film trilogy is totally fucking wrong.

Could you elaborate on that, Steve? I'm familiar with that trilogy of films, but what "warnings" did it offer?
