His statue in St. Louis is getting the shrine treatment.

It was always cool back when he still got out and about and would show up at concerts. I got to see him jump on stage with Dave Edmunds back in the 90s, which was awfully cool.

The best sighting, though, was when my brother spied him in the audience to see Husker Du, wearing a huge white fur coat with a 20-something girl on his arm.

this thread takes me back to Opa Locka, fla as a kid. had to be '69 or '70, i was walking a 4" masonry block sidewalk -lawn build up. I remember hearing Chuck's hit 'my little ding" and trying real hard not to bust mine.
