Can anybody tell me about the quality of this CD set.

I do have the Jam at the BBC & like the other "BBC" sessions CD from other artists, it's pretty good, although if you're getting into the Jam, I would first suggest getting Snap! (which has just been reissued in its full glory). Another point about the Jam at the BBC is to look for a copy w/a bonus CD of a 1979 live concert from the Rainbow

Excellent set. I only have the 2-CD version, without the 1979 Rainbow concert. I picked it up before I learned about the bonus disc. That'll teach me to make impulse purchases.

*Direction Reaction Creation* is awesome -- five CDs containing every studio album track, single track and B-side that the Jam released during their career. It's a UK release, though, so it's pretty pricey, even for a box set.

UPDATE: The Jam box set is available for as little as $46 on Amazon.com.

I second Delvin re: "Direction Reaction Creation". An excellent box set. I was listening to some tracks off it this past weekend. I think it was the only box set that cracked the UK top 10 albums chart when it first came out.
