Some strange quotes in here, especially the stuff about Slim. So they didn't even ASK him? Kinda weird......Also the parts about his drinking again (and stopping again) were intriguing. As a fan, I can honestly say I have no clue what's coming from him down the road : These 2 "new" songs are cool to me, not spectacular but I dig 'em and they fit in great on the compilation. I know he's got a soundtrack coming this fall to an animated movie.....and he's sober now - that sounds like a bad combination to me for some reason

I found it a bit of a shock when I saw a Westerberg show last year--he seemed to have been back at the drinking then. At some point during the set, Paul disappeared behind the amps and the rest of the band was left to carry on--but, shades of the old days, instead we did get to hear Drunk Guy from the Crowd's vocals on a few of the classics. (Eventually, Paul did return to the stage for a few more songs).

I saw him on the same tour last year and he acted really fucked up. My friends just thought he was acting like that, pulling a Dean Martin, Johnny Thunders thing, guess he wasn't acting.
