No surprise, sadly. He'd been fighting prostate cancer (which had already metastasized into his lymph and skeletal systems by the time he was diagnosed) since last year. He played with a lot of great Seattle bands in his time: Sky Cries Mary, the Posies, SDRE, the Walkabouts. May he rest in peace.
