Anybody seen the documentary about Arthur Kane and the Dolls' reunion in 2004? I watched it tonite and it's definitely a nice little piece. For Dolls' fanatics, it will likely seem a little thin on the history and influence of the band, but that doesn't really seem to be the intent of the flick. (And then, in the extras on the DVD, we learn that the filmmaker barely knew who the Dolls were when he met the Killer thru their Mormon church a few years before the 2004 reunion.)

i found it sad, for the awfulness of his life, the irony of his death, and the self-delusion of his importance. The rehearsal studio arrival of David Jo also struck me as one of those magic-erasing moments where you realize that even the greats don't have a clue what they're doing sometimes.

Saw it last night, extremely sad. I have to re-watch it since my kids woke up and were screaming upstairs and I ran between the movie and them. Did they mention his porno movie?
Right after teh movie I read the MOJO Kris Needs piece on them with your insert.
I didn't know JT's sister thought it was murder, last thing I read about him made it sound like he shot acid and overdosed.

!What a sad and beautiful movie. Maybe Arthur died happy? Glad Syl & David Jo continue on. Looking forward to hearing the new one.

I enjoyed the disc, and not having kept up didn't know the ending ahead of time so it came as a surprise to me. But Jeezus did David J ever look hideous, and come off as an asshole.
