I saw this last year, with a hint of sadness because of opening act Ian McLagan's untimely death before the tour started.

Thanks for the heads up, my wife is a big Nick Lowe fan. This would be a good Christmas gift for her. But I heard nick doesnt' really rock any more. Does he just do mellow acoustic stuff now? Mrs Fab would not like. She's a rock 'n 'roll gal.

I quite like them Straitjackets fellas (saw them in the '90s). I recently got three albums by The Neanderthals, one of Eddie Angel's other bands. They're mostly vocal '60s-inspired garage trash. Love it. They still do some instros, inc. a must-hear cover of "Space Oddity."

With Los Straitjackets backing him, how could he not rock out? Last year, Lowe didn't play the guitar with his teeth but it wasn't low key either (except for the closer "I Was Born in Bethlehem")

Really, they're backing Lowe?! Well, thats a fish of a different color (or something like that.) I just assumed they were the openers.

Fab - they did last year, so I'm assuming they will again.

This looks like a fine way for the missus & me to celebrate the season. Certainly a far cry from the holiday hell of four years ago. Ride on, Nick, ride on! ¡Andalé! Los Straitjackets.
