In his later day interviews, he always struck me a down to earth guy, your stereotypical Australian, if you want. I've always been partial to him in "The Time Machine" (as opposed to "The Birds", which is what all the obits mention here).

Dark of The Sun (1968) is a great movie that never got an official DVD release. Thankfully, it occasionally shows up on TCM.
